Warriors News · COVID-19 Summer 2.0 Update

Good Afternoon Student-Athletes & Parents,

It is with much excitement to share that WHS Athletics has got approved permission by Grant County Health Department to bring athletics back to our campuses for many of our sports programs starting Monday October 19th 2020 and ending on Wednesday November 25th 2020. These opportunities that will be offered are completely optional for WHS athletes grades 9-12. The main intent for these athletic opportunities is to replace the time that was lost for this past summer due to COVID-19. The traditional summer window of June – July will now be replaced with the NEW Summer 2.0 window. We know that many of our student-athletes as well as coaches are ready to come back and get to work!

A very important list of reminders, updates, and steps to prepare for are displayed below. Please take the time to look over this information in detail so you are aware of what is to potentially come next, and what is required to access these programs. Stay tuned for more information in regards to the actual start date of athletics coming within the foreseeable future.

Complete/Update Athlete Registration in Final Forms:

All parents and student-athletes must complete (in full) the registration process on Final Forms prior to stepping on campus for athletics. Please double check to make sure you are signing up for all sports your athlete is considering so they will be receiving pertinent and accurate information from that head coach. If student-athletes have not fully registered, they will not be allowed to participate in athletics and/or be on campus during practice times. Please click the following link https://wahluke-wa.finalforms.com for registration on Final Forms.

If you have any questions about registration please contact your coach and/or Jackson Haak (jhaak@wahluke.net)

*When registering be sure to select any/all sports of interest.

Athletic Program Schedules:

The majority of our sports programs will offer their workouts/practices 2 days a week for the time being. (besides football because they are only limited to 20 total practices per WIAA) Your coaches will also be sending out specific information regarding their programs so please be on the lookout for that information. If your coach does not send you an email this weekend please let me know so I can contact the coach for you. If you have any questions please email your head coaches below:

Competitions:

There will be no competition with other schools during this time. WIAA will not permit contests or scrimmages with other schools until further notice. Our focus is getting student-athletes prepared and conditioned for the upcoming competitive season.
